 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto (Ontario) to Joanna Noyes, an actor and Jan Steen who is a actor and director. Steen is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish origin.



 



 Apart from her acting career, Steen is an environmentalist and animal rights supporter. Steen is a supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals as well as the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee. She is certified to dive and has mastered several circus arts like stilt-walking, fire-twirling, and stilt-walking.
